IBIS Services

With over twenty years’ expertise in managing integrated software solutions IBIS brings stability and experience to the broadcast industry. As an independent company, we are well versed as the interfacing mechanism between diverse and sometimes competing solutions from different vendors. The powerful combination of long years’ loyalty and real broadcast experience provides an exceptional staff resource.  When combined with a strong outsourcing model, this ensures that new skills and abilities are quickly assimilated into the company.  Over the decades, IBIS has become trusted around the world to provide mission critical software elements within complex broadcast and new media systems.

Project Management

Our projects are managed with a focus on results.  Clear understanding of the objectives of the project and each of its tasks and acceptance of responsibility by Project Leaders for the successful implementation of these tasks is a key attribute of our philosophy.  A well thought out project implementation plan with risk-management provisions combined with efficient execution are essentials for success.

Depending on the size of the project, we execute project plans with a strong adherence to milestones, deliverable's performance and allocated costs.  Upon contract acceptance, we review and confirm the commitments made by developing a detailed functional specification in conjunction with the customer.  We select the project's delivery team and begin the formulation of the implementation strategy.

Key Values

Professional Services

In addition to the software systems offered, IBIS also offers the services of one of the most experienced teams in the industry to implement this installation. We recognize the need to offer a professional Project and Change Management service as part of our scope of work, to ensure you achieve a smooth operational transition. IBIS has nearly 20 years experience in the field of News and Sports Broadcast systems, and we understand the needs operators, journalists, editors, as well as the technical systems requirement.

IBIS Training

IBIS supplies a range of thorough and comprehensive training programmes, easily tailored to suit the your needs. The majority of our courses are held in small group sessions, with hands-on operation of the relevant software applications and products. Certificated training can be supplied where appropriate. Training may take place either at IBIS facilities or at your site/s as required.

Where training is part of a contract to supply and install new systems, the training courses and venues will be phased with the overall project timetable. A flexible schedule for training will be devised, taking account of shift patterns and any need for freelance personnel training where required.

Training will broadly come under two disciplines, Operational and Engineering. Some personnel will attend courses across both disciplines. The scheduling of the course dates will be finalized in consultation with the end user, taking into account the need for full human resources considerations. Numbers per course can be adjusted if required, and courses can be “mixed and matched”.  Training for Super-Users is available for both Operational and Technical courses.

While formal training courses make up part of the schedule, there is normally also provision for on-site training and on-air support, which continues during the build phase; at the On-Air launch phase; and post go live.

We welcome the opportunity to discuss your Training and Operational Support needs at any time.

IBIS Support

Local first line service for IBIS software systems will be provided through IBIS local offices or representatives for IBIS systems in your region. We offer a 24/7 direct telephone IBIS Support line which has contact with IBIS offices around the world for fast remote support by trained IBIS engineers.   Dial-in or VPN network connection is recommended for the fastest solution to issues which can be followed by on-site attendance if necessary.

A Support Service Level Agreement will be drawn up between IBIS and each client identifying specific levels of cover required. This document will be used within the training schedules as appropriate.

It is recommended that notwithstanding the local support, IBIS senior staff meet regularly with the end client to cover any service issues and reports. IBIS technical training/ system management courses are recommended for key in-house technical staff.
