MAM on a Mac from IBIS with Final Cut Pro
September 2007, IBC Stand 7.310: IBIS ServerBase is now compatible with Apple operating systems. IBIS will be demonstrating metadata management and broadcast workflow on a Mac, including browsing images, intelligent searching, versions and variants of material.
Material from IBIS Highlighter can be edited in Final Cut Pro and made available in a MOS enabled rundown. The IBIS system can detect expected footage that is being edited in Final Cut Pro and will issue placeholders in the rundown into which the footage will slot as it arrives.
Revolutionising sports focused workflow, IBIS ServerBase is system agnostic. Irrespective of the newsroom system installed, the IBIS MOS gateway will transfer material from source to playout and at IBC will be demonstrated running on an Omneon Spectrum server.
Additionally, IBIS will demonstrate the Mac interface with PC showing auto-browse creation and management on Omneon servers using ProBrowse.
According to Andrew Winter, Director of Marketing, “IBIS really appreciates the need for speed, accuracy and the demands of the sports news environment. We have ground-breaking experience in this area and have developed a range of applications to transform workflow and improve RoI.”
