IBIS launches new Channel Management application (ICM)
September 2005, IBC Booth 7.310: IBIS is launching Channel Management (ICM), the next generation Channel/Rights Management solution from IBIS Ltd. A modular system consisting of Contracts, Programme Library, Media Library, Interstitial Library and three levels of Scheduling, ICM is easy to use as it employs functions such as drag-and-drop to speed up the daily actions that are required and has an intuitive user interface.
ICM can be used in a stand-alone configuration or be integrated with IBIS Transmission Automation system for Transmission and/or ServerBase for the integration of video based processes including desk-top browsing of clips.
ICM is available in one of two main modes of operation -> for start-up channels whose requirement is to produce playout schedules, and for those channels with more complex asset management workflow. ICM is supplied with the ability to run multiple channels in multiple styles of operation, from programme acquisition and rights management, through the entire channel workflow to as-run log processing. In order to provide simplified methods of workflow, the ICM functionality can be tailored to the needs of the user. If, for example, contracts rights management is not needed to produce on-air schedules, then that module can be “switched off”. These modules can be re-enabled at a later date, should the need arise.
