IBIS opens US office
April 2004, NAB Booth SU6766: Following recent major contract wins, two of which are for SprinTx News and Sports News systems for US broadcaster ESPN, top broadcast process automation company IBIS (Integrated Broadcast Information Systems) is to open an office in North America.
IBIS Inc will operate out of Stamford, Connecticut, with the purpose of providing the same high level of customer care and service to the US market as is currently enjoyed by IBIS clients in Europe and Australasia.
Says Mike Shaw, Managing Director “IBIS has been studying the feasibility of opening a North American office for quite a while, as we wanted to make sure that this would be a permanent measure. By establishing IBIS Inc, we want to make it clear that we are as committed to our US customers as we are to those in other parts of the world, who are already looked after by our offices in Europe and Australia.
“Mike Potter, who will head up the Connecticut operation, is already well known to many US broadcast consultants, especially those who know of his pioneering work with CNNSI, and he is looking forward to the new challenges that this move will bring.”
