Position Title: Project & Support Engineer
Summary
Following significant investment from Orad Hi Tec Systems both IBIS and Orad are looking to expand their UK based operations with the appointment of a Project and Support Engineer.
The successful applicant will be involved in delivering and supporting the wide range of Orad and IBIS products and solutions. You should be a team player with at least 3 years broadcast experience, (ideally with some knowledge of Graphics, MAM or Servers) who can integrate into the existing company structures and be both self-motivated and self-directed.
The position will require a large amount of time to be spent on customer sites and will involve but will not be limited to supporting existing installation, installation on new projects and assisting with sales demos & activities.
Salary & benefits package according to experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide first line support assistance for customers.
• On-site installation, commissioning & testing of Orad & IBIS products.
• On site customer support during installation, commissioning, rehearsal and going ‘live’.
• On-going customer support once a system has gone ‘live’ performing upgrades and maintaining version control.
• Liaison between the customer and TierII/R&D for resolution of issues.
• Provide support to Operations & Development teams.
• Maintain issues and support items within the support database.
DESIRED SKILLS:
• Qualified to higher education or degree level.
• Excellent soft skills and good inter personal skills.
• Ability to create and maintain excellent customer relationships.
• PC and Server literate. Knowledge and skills in the installation and configuration of PCs, Windows and Linux operating systems, networks and databases, (such as Microsoft SQL Server).
• Good HW approach, ability to resolve/replace HW issues/parts
• An understanding and interest in broadcasting would be advantageous.
• Predominately UK based but ability to work worldwide.
